EnCompass was founded after Elspeth Knight felt unwelcome because of her impairments when trying to book an organised adventure travel tour. She has had to adapt her career as her conditions (MS and epilepsy) progressed. Elspeth was a disability support worker for several years before moving to the Isle of Skye where she built and ran a cafe/art gallery. Elspeth won many awards during her time there including the Moffatt Award for Travel and Tourism and the PSYBT Young Entrepreneur of the Year. A life-long travel enthusiast, Elspeth now runs EnCompass where she and her staff share their extensive business, travel, and disability experience to support adventure tour companies, large and small, into the untapped disabled market.
