Our training combines current legislation and best practice, giving innovative yet robust methods to create accessibility in the adventure travel field. We use regulations from the UK and the USA along with International Standards Organisation recommendations and best practice guidelines from top UK disability charities, adding in our extensive knowledge of the latest portable accessibility equipment for travel and our own travel experience as disabled travellers. The result is our comprehensive and practical training programme which teaches you how to put accessibility in place from A to Z -from decision making and strategy writing, to practical accessibility implementation, and guide, marketing and sales training.

Disability Awareness Training for the Travel Industry
OVERVIEW COURSE | 1 day

This course introduces you to the concept of accessible travel. We not only give an overview of the market but also introduce you to different impairments and how you can make customers feel more comfortable. We also give you a chance to study some of your own products and create an overview of what might need to be done to make them accessible -from marketing to practical access.

Accessibility Strategy Training
FOR DECISION MAKERS | 1-2 days

Learn how to create an Accessibility Strategy from A-Z including what you need to put in place, and what you don't! By the end of this course you will have all the information you need to make sure you are complying not only with legislation but that your strategy development covers holistic accessibility from product adaptation to sales and marketing.

Accessibility Auditing Training
LEARN HOW TO COMPLY WITH THE PACKAGE TRAVEL REGULATIONS 2018 | 1 day 

This course covers how to assess your tours and what information you need to collect for the new 2018 Package Travel Regulations, how to collate it and what you need to be able to communicate to customers to avoid litigation. This course can also be combined with the 'Creating Practical Accessibility' course for those looking to create full access on tours.

Creating Practical Accessibility on Tours
A PRACTICAL GUIDE | 1 day

On this course we first discuss different impairments and what they mean in terms of creating accessibility. We then show you the latest portable mobility and sensory aids which turn inaccessible places into accessible ones, examples of accessible excursions, and the many alternative options for disabled clients. By the end of the course you will have a complete overview of the options that are available to you in order to put practical accessibility in place. Combine this with our 'Accessibility Auditing Training' course to learn how to make sure the your new access information is assessed and recorded correctly.

Tour Guide Disability Awareness Training
FOR TOUR GUIDES | 1 day

On this course you will learn all about different impairments and how you can be the best tour guide for disabled customers! From knowing what to ask, how to address disabled clients, knowing WHEN and HOW to offer help, understanding the tools you can utilise on the road and learning how to create the best alternative plans, this course up-skills any tour guide to give them the confidence to professionally, confidently and legally guide disabled or injured customers.

Sales Team Disability Awareness Training
FOR SALES TEAMS AND TRAVEL AGENTS | 1 day

Learn what you need to know and what questions you need to ask to ensure that you are selling disabled customers the perfect trip for them. And just as importantly learn HOW to ask the questions without causing offence as different demographics prefer different terminology! Sounds confusing? It's not. By the end of this course you will have the confidence to know you are getting it right!

Marketing to the Disabled Customer
FOR MARKETING AND PR | 1 day

Just as important as providing accessibility is letting disabled customers KNOW that you have it in a non patronising or 'overly disabled' way. By the end of this course you will know how to make your website and social media legally accessible, how to include disabled customers whilst also inspiring your non disabled customers. Covering accessible visuals, images, text and information dissemination in print media, social media, online media and more.

Accessibility Ambassador Training
FOR YOUR NEW ACCESSIBILITY AMBASSADORS | 3 days

Not only do in-house Accessibility Ambassadors keep your initiative on track throughout strategy development and implementation, they can also be part of monitoring outcomes AND be a point of contact for any queries. By the end of this course (split into 3 sessions over the full process) your Accessibility Ambassadors will have a full overview of what is expected from every department and know where to find any changes in law or best practice to keep you on track.

Creating Access in Destinations
FOR DESTINATION MANAGERS & TOURIST BOARDS | 1 day

If you're in charge of the big picture this course is for you. We will not only help you understand the demographics of disabled travellers but give you a big picture overview of the pillars of accessible travel. Exploring transport, activities, accommodation, nature and culture, this course teaches you how to link and develop the structure you need in order to create a destination that is attractive to the huge disabled travel market. 

Accessibility Training for Accommodation and Transport Providers.
FOR ACCOMMODATION & TRANSPORT PROVIDERS | 1 day

Whether you're a hotel, resort or bus company owner, this course focuses on  International Standards Organisation (ISO) recommendations and on alternative methods of accessibility available where ISO implementation is not possible.
